I am Qiangguo Jin, a Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Software, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Shaanxi, China. I received my B.E. (2010–2014), M.E. (2014–2017), and Ph.D. (2017–2021) in Software Engineering from School of Computer Software, Tianjin University (TJU), under the supervision of Prof. Zhaopeng Meng (B.E. & M.E.), and Profs. Ran Su (苏苒), Leyi Wei (魏乐义), and Zhaopeng Meng (Ph.D.). From 2019 to 2021, I was a Visiting Scholar at Data61, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia, where I closely collaborated with Changming Sun and Hui Cui (崔慧).
My research interests lie at the intersection of medical image analysis, bioinformatics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on disease detection, structural analysis, drug development, and the diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases. My current research emphasizes semi-supervised and weakly supervised learning, multimodal representation learning, and intelligent healthcare applications, aiming to bridge advanced AI techniques with real-world clinical and biomedical problems.
I have published over 50+ papers , including several in top-tier journals and conferences. I also serve as a reviewer for several top-tier academic conferences, including ICML, AAAI, ACMMM, IJCAI, MICCAI, ICME, BIBM, and ICASSP, as well as for leading journals such as IEEE TMI, MIA, TNNLS, TCSVT, JBHI, TAI, TII, TMM, PR, KBS, ESWA, EAAI, and BIB.
Call for research assistants/postdocs (Master/PhD students starting in Fall 2026)! Hope you are hardworking, determined, and have basic programming skills and mathematics knowledge. You can receive detailed supervision on research and would have a promising career. Feel free to contact me via email.
